The Holiday Season is upon us, and Ocean City has so many exciting events going on throughout the month of November! From live performances to holiday festivals, there are numerous shows and happenings you, your friends, and families will not want to miss.
Peppa Pig Live! (Nov. 1)
Peppa Pig’s Big Surprise is coming to the Ocean City Performing Arts Center! Doors will open at 5:30pm, and the show starts at 6pm. Gather your kids and their friends to enjoy fun interactive games and lots of different surprises. The show encompasses the charming, colorful nature of the popular preschool series. It will feature brand-new songs and life-size puppets to give audiences a unique, fully immersive theatrical experience. Ticket prices range from $25-$45. For the VIP Package available online only ($125) you’ll have the chance to meet the characters!
The Dueling Pianos (Nov. 6)
The Red Doors, a community center within St. Paul’s By-the-Sea Episcopal Church, will present The Dueling Pianos at the Ocean City Performing Arts Center. This musical fundraising event will feature local celebrities Shirley Toms and Elsworth Wheatley. Throughout the event, they will be taking song requests from the audience. They are encouraging audience members to sing along! The concert will go from 6-8:30pm with a half-hour intermission featuring hors-d'oeuvres and a cash bar. Tickets are $25/adult and $17/students 17 and younger.
Winterfest of Lights (Nov. 15 - Dec. 31)
Over a million lights and hundreds of animated holiday light displays will fill Northside Park for the Annual Winterfest of Lights. Along with 58 acres of lights, there will be a 50-foot Christmas tree. Ride the tram singing along to seasonal tunes, sip on hot chocolate, get a photo with Santa, and soak up all of the holiday spirit! Tickets to board the tram are only $5, and children under 11 are free.
Light Up Downtown Festival (Nov. 17)
This free event is great for the entire family to do some holiday shopping, visit local vendors, listen to live music, watch the beautiful tree lighting, and visit with Santa. There will be crafts, games, and prizes for all the kids to enjoy! The event will be held on the Boardwalk at the Ocean City Inlet from 2-6pm and is free to everyone!
Turkey Trot Golf Open (Nov. 17)
The weather will just keep getting colder and colder as the winter season takes over, so the Turkey Trot Golf Open is a great chance to get some rounds of golf in while the weather is still bearable! The event will be hosted at Eagles Landing Golf Course beginning at 9:30am with a shotgun to kickoff the game! It will be a four-person modified scramble featuring both golfing and a turkey feast. Admission is $60.
Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 22)
Spending the Thanksgiving holiday in Ocean City may not be your family tradition, but it’s something we should all experience at some point. How could you turn down spending this food- and fun-filled holiday at the beach? Numerous restaurants and locations throughout town will be featuring enticing Thanksgiving meals, but many will require reservations so be sure to make your plans in advance. Whether you’re cooking at home or going out to dine with the family, it’s always a nice touch to include a visit to Northside Park’s Winterfest of Lights to keep everyone in the holiday spirit!
Holiday Shoppers Fair (Nov. 23 - 25)
For just $3 (children under 13 are free) all of your shopping dreams will come true! Find unique handmade merchandise, nautical items perfect for decorating your home, candles, photography, jewelry, and so much more at the Holiday Shoppers Fair held at the Ocean City Convention Center. Along with great shopping opportunities for the holidays, you’ll find activities for the kids, a food court, door prizes, and a photo-op with Santa! The Fair will go all weekend long, Friday and Saturday from 10am-5pm, and Sunday from 10am-3pm.
