The Happy Hooker started providing bay fishing trips in Ocean City in 1992. Although the boat was upgraded in 2005, she has always operated on Talbot Street Pier. The Happy Hooker is a specially designed 37 foot bay fishing headboat. She carries all USCG required safety equipment and has a USCG licensed captain along with a professional mate.
Anglers aboard the Happy Hooker can catch Flounder, Croaker and Rockfish. All rods, reels and bait are provided. The captain and mate will assist you with set up and will find the best spots in the bay where the fish are biting.

Had a great time on our 12-2 trip today! There were 3 of us in our group and 9 others. We went bottom fishing in the bay. All gear and bait were provided and they had drinks available for purchase for $1. The captain worked really hard to try to get us on a good spot and the mate was active during the trip, checking that everyone’s bait was set right and taking fish off for everyone. We didn’t catch any keepers, but it certainly wasn’t for lack of trying! We didn’t catch any bring aboard a bunch of flounder, Black Sea bass, and even a small puffer fish! I would definitely recommend for anyone looking to get out on the water and wet a line.

If you’re an angler don’t go. Definitely a beginner trip. Hardly caught anything. I will say for $30 it was worth it to just get out on the bay and chill. I’m not upset because of how cheap it is however, don’t have high expectations on catch if you plan on going. The captain and mate were not rude like people say, there are just guests that have never held a fishing rod or can’t follow instructions.

We found this fishing tour from our hotel room pamphlet. We are so happy we went on this trip as a family of 4. The captain and his team were great we caught flounder and a couple other different types of fish. They went above and beyond and were super helpful. We are so happy with the tour and highly recommend it for other family’s. Not sure how they are not 5 stars on google. Obviously it’s always a hit or miss with fishing.
