 On What Grounds? is a locally owned coffee shop and breakfast stop in Berlin, Maryland. We are proud to feature Intelligentsia Coffee, roasted according to the highest standards and carefully prepared by our highly trained and experienced baristas.

This coffee shop had amazing service and vibes. Clean shop, delicious coffee, walking distance from shops and our hotel. I had an iced macchiato with lavender flavor which was yum and my hubby had a red eye I believe. 10/10 recommend.

Wife and I were leaving town after a wonderful stay and we wanted top off the trip with one last stop, so Cafe Berlin it was…and aren’t we glad we did! The ambience is a vibe and the staff was delightful! We had a complicated order and the staffer was more than patient and totally accommodating. We didn’t feel rushed as we ordered which is the typical experience at cafes and coffee shops. The drinks were great as was the food. The cafe made leaving vaca all the more difficult.
PS: totally love the free wrist bands 👌

Started our exploring here today. I had a Pina colada smoothie, the large was more than enough. My husband had a delicious bagel sandwhich. Very nice coffee & food stop.
